Cheap application photos and criteria you should consider when choosing an application photographer

Unfortunately, we have often served customers who came to us because you did not like the photos in another studio or from the photo store or the prices were not communicated transparently, for example, was contractually excluded use for the purpose XYZ.

We love transparent prices for application photos, because we want you to be happy as a customer. We recommend to pay attention to the following criteria when choosing your photographer:

For the budget minded - AI Headshots

Recently, in addition to the selection of photographers, there is also the possibility to make AI headshots. These are often inexpensive. However, attention should be paid to the portfolio, whether the quality also fits. There are only a few tools that we can really recommend. Our recommendation is Profile Bakery.

1. the photographer takes application photos only once in a while.

When it comes to application photos, there are very many points that should be taken into consideration so that the photo fits perfectly on the CV. Make sure that the photographers are trained for CV pics. We get feedback directly from the industry (HR departments) and career centers.

2. the shooting takes less than 15min.

Our more than 5 years of shooting experience and specialization in job application photos and feedback from clients has shown that anything under 15min shooting time is way too short for a decent photo shoot. There is not only too little time to "arrive", but also to choose the right photo and practice the pose.

3. you get only a few photos to choose from. Each time you "pull the trigger" costs.

What matters is the number of photos you take and the number you choose from them. We recommend that you should have about 3 photos to choose from. With us, for example, we have no limit of photos that we shoot. Depending on the client and the shooting, there can be 30 - 100 photos that are created. From this we then make the selection with you.

4. the photos are selected for you.

You are told: "We will choose the best photo for you". With us and also with other photographers you decide which photos you want. You pay us here "only" as a consultant. In the end, you have to be happy with the photos.

5. post-processing of the photos costs extra.

Watch out for offers where processing is not included. Usually you are asked to pay afterwards, which is not always justified. With us, post-processing is included.

6. "Walk-In" studio in the shopping center

Imagine you work as a photographer. Do you think in a shopping mall where customers are waiting en masse in the waiting chair in front of the studio and you are still operating the cash register at the same time, you could take relaxed photos with the customer? Do you have enough privacy here? Remember, job application photos are not taken every year again, but rather every 3 years.

7. no portfolio on the website or only very few or very general sample photos.

You should see at least 3 photos in the photographer's portfolio that you like in style. We are constantly updating our portfolio with new photos.

8. no chat or mail support

If the studio does not provide professional support service, it can be a sign that the photos will not be sent on time either.
